Review: Limited Edition Decor (Spring 2013)

Stardoll has released the latest edition of Limited Edition decor. It was pretty horrible to say the least.

Photo thanks to underneathstardoll.net

The quality and graphics for some of the items were alright, but a lot of items were horrendous. The gold items came off almost flat and two dimensional, while the lamps (obviously inspired by BASICS decor) looked poorly constructed.

I was pretty confused about the theme of this collection, but I am assuming it was tacky. I mean what were they thinking? Let's throw some antique items, modern furniture, random gold things, flamingos, and while we are at it slap some belts on it and throw in a skull or two. The "theme" is best represented by this cake.

Whatever they were thinking, pink zebra print shouldn't leave the bedroom of a thirteen year old. This makes the pink zebra couch one of my least favorite items in the collection. What is my favorite item, you ask? The 50s Metal Sun Decoration is a classy piece that can go in a number of different room styles.

Review: Limited Edition (April 2013)

Stardoll has released the latest season of Limited Edition.

The theme was apparently supposed to be grungy or something along those lines. Personally, I consider grunge just another term for paying a lot of money to look like you live in the ghetto, but that is a rant for another day. The main problem with this collection is that there was no distinct color or style. It appears that Stardoll seemed to go with a gold and black studded theme and them just threw in some random leftover pieces from stores like Velvet Orchard or Miss Sixty.

Note how the items in A and B have nothing in common. A collection should always have some type of unifying factor that binds every piece of clothing together. This unifying factor was seen in the earlier seasons  of LE. Without seeming too nostalgic, I think this is what made the first through third seasons of Limited Edition so special.

The graphics weren't the best, but they weren't nearly as bad as last time. The prices were very good, but I honestly would have preferred a more expensive collection if it meant that the clothing was better.

Stardoll, better luck next time. I'm getting tired of writing negative reviews for everything.

Great Suites/Outfits: Kamuz

My dear friend Kamuz combined the new Hot Buys Weekly and Limited Edition to create a lovely and classy mint/gold combo.

Guys on Stardoll...

There are a couple of famous stardoll members of the male gender... and an increasing amount of regular superstar male members on stardoll.

And recently a lot more guy limited edition clothing.

It started with the now uber rare first season antidote guy clothes... then LE released some male clothing... and now the latest season of Antidote has released this set of male clothing.

Its nice that Stardoll did something for guys... but they were a little feminine.

What do you think?

Not So Limited

What is the obsession with Limited Edition? For the price... it is worthless.

In the "old days" the clothes represented luxury... although they were more expensive.

Now. The graphics are horrible, the clothes are trashy, non luxurious, but they are expensive. That is the only appeal.

Past and Present: Limited Edition

Limited Edition

First Season - RARE
Second Season - My personal favorite. A heart theme.
Third Season - Some very expensive RAREs.

Fourth Season

Fifth Season

Sixth Season - Very Pink.
Seventh Season

 8th Season
Ninth Season
The more recent seasons have been more wild and have looked more like Antidote than LE.
